First, create your landing page in App.net and copy the URL you’ve created.
Next, open Google Analytics (or sign up here: http://www.google.com/analytics/) and click on Add Website Profile. Here you’ll paste in your app.net URL, fill in the appropriate fields, and click Finish.
Google Analytics then creates a profile for the URL, generating a unique “Web Property ID” which you’ll want to copy (e.g. UA-XXXXXXXX-X). Go back to app.net and click on Edit Landing Page for the App you’re integrating. Click on the Content tab and scroll to the bottom to paste the code into the Google Analytics ID field. Hit Save & Close and you’re done.
**Please note that integration with Google Analytics may take up to 24 hours, so if you’re not seeing any stats after this time you may want to check if it properly integrated with your app.net landing page. You can do this by locating the “Status” column in Google Analytics. If there’s a green checkmark, you’re all set. If there’s a yellow yield sign, there may be a problem.
You can further investigate by visiting your app.net landing page and right-clicking to “View Page Source”. Here you can search for your Google Analytics ID at the bottom of the page. If it isn’t found, you may want to double-check that you’ve entered the ID exactly as it appears in Google Analytics.
