App.net is pleased to offer integration with MailChimp to provide mailing lists to App developers.
For new MailChimp users:
- Create a MailChip account
For existing MailChimp Users:
- Open the MailChimp admin interface (http://admin.mailchimp.com)
- Follow the MailChimp documentation to find the API Key and Mailing List ID
- App.net recommends that you create a new MailChimp API Key specifically for App.net's use to keep your MailChimp account more secure
- Open the App.net Landing Page Editor
- Switch to the "Module" Tab and scroll down to the MailChimp module details
- Copy & paste the API Key and Mailing List ID into the respective fields
- Save your changes
- You should now see a form on your App's landing page that will collect email addresses and add them to your MailChimp list.
Notes:
- It can take up to 5 minutes for changes on your Landing Page to take effect.
- App.net does not send emails to these customers. You must have your own MailChimp account to use this feature.
